WordPress Training

For those of you who would like to build or maintain your own WordPress website we offer WordPress training days in and around Winchester and one-to-one WordPress training either at your premises or our offices near Stockbridge.

One-to-One Training

We offer one-to-one training (or up to two people simultaneously) at a rate of £75 per hour + VAT.

Would you like to update an existing WordPress website?

With about 10,000 different WordPress themes and over 38,000 plugins available your website is almost certainly unique and maintaining it will be different from most other websites.

A one or two hour session with Jacqui will teach you both general WordPress skills and also exactly what you can change and update on your website.

If you provide us with a login beforehand we will make sure that we are completely familiar with your website so that you can benefit fully from the training. The training is “hands on” as we find this is the best way to help you remember how to do things later but we also provide notes.

Would you like to build your own WordPress website?

Some people know exactly how they would like their website to appear and want to be fully involved with the build. We can help you to arrange a domain name and hosting before the training if you haven’t already done so.

We recommend starting with 2 – 3 hours one-to-one WordPress training which will teach you enough skills to go away and build the majority of the website. We then book another session to help get the website “live” which includes adding security, spam filters, submitting the website to Google and adding in Google Analytics. If you are on a tight budget building your own website is a very cost effective option.

WordPress Training Days

Our one day WordPress training courses are designed to teach you enough skills to build your own basic WordPress website and to give you the tools to take it further. One day courses cost £100 + VAT and have a maximum of 10 places. The course is “hands on” and you will need to bring a laptop with you – during the day you will build an actual website and you will be able to access and “play” with the website for one month after the course. You don’t need to have any prior knowledge about websites – this course is suitable for total beginners onwards. We provide a copy of our presentation at the end of the course.

If you don’t have access to a laptop please contact us and we will endeavour to provide one.

What do I need to bring?

All you need is a laptop – if you don’t have a laptop please contact us before booking and we will endeavour to provide one.

How much does it cost?

The course is £100 + VAT. Students receive 10% discount – please contact us on 07792108728 or email us at info@njhwebdesign.co.uk for a discount code.

How do I book and pay?

Click on the course you wish to book above. We accept payments through Paypal but you don’t actually need a Paypal account – credit cards are also accepted. Alternatively contact us on 07792108728.

If I’m unable to attend can I get a refund or reschedule?

Unfortunately due to the limited number of  places, courses are non-refundable. Please check your diary carefully and read our Terms and Conditions before you book a course.

If you notify us in writing at least 14 days before the course and the course is fully booked we will attempt to resell your place. If the place sells then we will issue a full refund.

Can I send someone else if I can’t attend?

If you find you are unable to attend one of our courses you may of course send someone in your place. Please let us know that person’s name before the course so we may welcome them.

If we have to cancel a course

We will endeavour to hold all booked courses but in the unlikely event that a course has to be is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, you’ll receive as much notice as possible. We will issue you a full refund.

How many people will be on the course?

The maximum number of people in any course is 10. Once we advertise a course we will always run the course even if the numbers are lower.

Is food provided?

We provide tea, coffee etc. and biscuits. You are welcome to bring your own lunch or there is a Tesco’s store within five minutes walk which has a Costa Coffee and burger van in Curry’s carpark nearby.

Where can I park?

Free parking is provided at the Premier Inn.
